Me, Hunter and Mum found a cocoon on a tomato. It had a half formed caterpillar. It was half caterpillar and butterfly. We also discovered that the caterpillar had made a strong web to hold it's cocoon on the tomato.
Hi Drew. What a cool find you had. Do you think it is a monarch butterfly? Is the butterfly going to survive? I hope so. I missed seeing your smiley face on the class hangout this morning. Will you be on it tomorrow? I hope to see you then (10.00 a.m.).
Hi Drew, great to see that you were able to post this on your own at home! This reminds me of the story 'The very hungry caterpillar'. Do you think the web is similar to the web material that spiders make? Did you get a chance to do any of the learning from our class site today?
Hi Mrs Mclachan Yes the web is like a spiders web. And Yes I've done and illustrated a book cover for Matilda, but me and mum would like to know how to get on the class hangout Please, as we've been wanting to join in too.
I'm so pleased you worked out how to join our Hangout. It was so cool to see you today! I saw the Matilda book cover. It must have taken you a lot of time to do that because I could see how much effort you went to. Nice job!
Hi Drew. It's so good to see you blogging. The other night I found a green caterpillar crawling up the pepper shaker. It made me start to wonder if there were more,in the salad I had just eaten!. I look forward to more of your work.Keep blogging.Have a great weekend.
Good morning Drew. I can't wait to see what other interesting things you have found in your bubble.I'd also love to see any work that you've done through distance learning. Take care and have a great week.
Hi Mrs Cassidy Mum and I are still getting the hang of distance learning but I have done and illustrated a cover for Matilda an I've been reading alot on marine life an sharks also I have been on mathletics most days. Also we have been baking and doing lots of arts and crafts. We've made flowers out of cans that I'll get mum to help me post a photo for everyone to see.
Wow Drew, what an interesting find! What happened to the butterfly? We found a caterpillar on our walk last week and put it back on our swan plant for it to hopefully turn into a monarch butterfly ... but it walked away! Keep posting what you are up to, we love to see it!
Hi Miss Glenday The caterpillar buterfly was dead :( unfortunately its getting to cold for the monarch butterflies and alot of our cocoon have died. I will post a photo soon to show everybody.
